This way each sensational snack will make you salivate for what’s still to come…

Secret #1: Your Audience doesn’t care about your colors and fonts!

So before you get stuck in the stuff that doesn’t matter and spend all this time, getting branded with the perfect fonts, colors, logos, etc you instead just become clear on your message.

But before we go into how to come up with your message, I want to make sure you understand what you’re branding.

To do it right and for the long haul, make sure you brand yourself and not a company

This way if your business ever has to pivot, it pivots right along with you.

If you brand a business, people can’t connect with you and make connections or referrals to you.

This makes it a lot harder to grow it.

Most of the time, people that try to build a business without a lot of capital to spend on marketing, go out of business or eventually rebrand to their name.

Either way, both end up being expensive and a HUGE loss that takes time to overcome.

Instead focus entirely on your messaging, by developing a clear and concise“I help Statement” OR Big Promise Statement.

You may have even heard it called a niche statement unique selling proposition.

Nonetheless, they are all one in the same.

This is where you call out 3 things:

  1. Who you help

  2. What you help them to do or how you help them

  3. And the results they can expect to get from working with you

OR what are you going to save them (what pain point are you going to eliminate) when working with you.

DO NOT OVERTHINK THIS!

As a matter of fact, think about either you, your favorite client or your best friend…

You know the best friend that makes you jealous because they’re overly organized, always on time, polite, great at teaching, taking feedback, pretty much everything…

Make a list of your favorite qualities from each person and write them down.

People always think that they need to call out the title of someone, but you can always just call out they’re perception or complaint of who they think they are…

And speak to them.

For example, If I was trying to help busy moms become better organized or manage their time better…

I may write a niche statement like Helping busy moms get it together so much that they’re first in the car line.

Make sure to keep it niche (a smaller more defined community) to start.

The smaller you can narrow your niche, the more you’ll be rewarded.

People pay more for those that specialize, instead of generalize.

For ex.

Generalized Practitioner versus a Surgeon

A Fireplace Construction specialist versus a handyman or general contractor

Once you’ve built and established a respected brand, your niche statement can evolve to include more people.

Defining your Help Statement will do three things for your brand:

  1. It will give you clarity on your USP (Unique Selling Proposition) and what sets you apart from your competitors

  2. It will define & attract your ideal audience

  3. It will give your brand and business a higher perceived value than “the other guys”

Now go Knock Out Your Niche Statement, so you can attract your perfect client and repel the PIA’s (pain in the as* ones)!

And if you need help and haven’t booked your free content clarity call yet, make sure to get that done.

It’s anything but high pressure!

And it may just give you the exact roadmap you need to take your brand to the next level.

I’ll be standing by to hear from you!
