Build Your Own Brand Authority
Today I’m excited to share with you the best way to get jump started towards building your own personal brand!
You want to make sure to brand yourself using your name or a variation of your name.
People build relationships with other people, not companies.
And if planning to use social media like facebook, instagram or tik tok to build your brand…
you will grow much faster by being a personal brand.
As you know, people use social media to be social, not to do business.
However, it’s through those social connections that relationships are established and trust is gained for you to consider doing business.
Once you’ve settled into the idea of you and yourself being an actual brand…
you can start to develop Your “Big Promise Statement” aka “I Help Statement”.
This statement simply needs to include 3 answers:
- Who do you help?
- What do help them with?
- And Why do you help them
👉 What pain point do you eliminate for them?
OR
👉 What do they gain from your help?
Below are a few examples of “Big Promise Statements” aka “I Help Statements” to give you an idea of how to compose yours and what kind of flexibility you have with it.
1. “I help thought leaders write great books in just 90 days. 300 satisfied clients so far.”
– Mindy Gibbins-Klein
2. “Let’s build job free income.”
– Nick Loper
3. “Do you want more traffic?”
– Neil Patel
4. “Move well, eat well, think well.”
– Adam Cobb
5. “Helping you build a big brand with your small business.”
– Kate Toon
6. “Achieve social media mastery.”
– Mari Smith
7. “It’s time to unleash your epicness.”
– Felicia Hatcher
8. “Be a unicorn in a sea of donkeys.”
– Larry Kim
Use these as your starting point to put together your own that’s going to reflect who you work with, what you do and why people would want to work with you. Have it reflect your brand and personality, so it attracts the type of audience with whom you would want to work!
